Jaime Mendoza (died 1992) was a Colombian drug trafficker.
After Pablo Escobar had Gerardo Moncada killed, Mendoza, along with his sister Judy Moncada and Escobar's head-of-security Don Berna rebelled and splintered from the Medellín cartel and formed their own cartel. Despite Berna wanting to lie low and only start cocaine production once Escobar is killed, Mendoza rushed, believing that Escobar is too weak to strike back. Mendoza phoned Ricardo Prisco, the leader of the Los Priscos gang and requested him to join their new organization, and gave them the location of his laboratory.
However, Ricardo remained loyal to Escobar. The Priscos raided the lab, and killed all of Mendoza's bodyguards. Escobar arrived at the scene, and killed Mendoza while he was on the phone with Berna. Mendoza's death made Berna and Judy seek powerful alliances to bring down Escobar.
