Guadalajara is the capital city of the Mexican state of Jalisco, and is Mexico's third most populous city. It was the birthplace of the Guadalajara cartel, founded by Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo, Ernesto Fonseca Carrillo and Rafael Caro Quintero in 1980.
